Holland & Holland welcomed the ’Young Shots’ to the Shooting Grounds over the Easter break for a morning of clay pigeon shooting. For some of the shots it was their first experience handling and shooting a shotgun, whilst others were there to improve on existing skills.
The event is always well attended, with 26 children taking part this time around. Holland & Holland’s experienced instructors take the groups around the grounds to tackle a series of sporting stands. A key theme for the day’s proceedings is safety and education, emphasising this at a young age is extremely important to the future of the sport.
The ’Young Shots’ course has been developed for children aged between 9 – 16 and aims to teach the children about gun safety and handling whilst enjoying a range of shooting. Our instructors are comfortable teaching all ages and abilities and do everything possible to ensure the children get the most out of the day.
