Holland & Holland is pleased to be supporting the next generation of shooters by sponsoring The Schools Challenge 2016. The Schools Challenge is the largest young shots’ organisation in the U.K., teaching shooting skills to young shooters.
A busy schedule of competition and events kicked off in March at The Schools Challenge Oxford with over 200 students competing. Despite the very wet weather conditions, across the grounds enthusiastic young shots could be seen smiling and concentrating on getting the winning score, making for an incredible atmosphere.
Daryl Greatrex, Managing Director of Holland & Holland said: “Holland & Holland is delighted to be supporting The Schools Challenge events for 2016. The future of sporting shooting ultimately rests with the young shots of today and we are delighted to be supporting them to ensure the safety and skills of shooting for the next generation.”
Overall top score of the day was Charlie Cobain with an impressive score of 48ex50, beating all the senior boys. The senior high score was not far behind with 47ex50 and the top ladies score went to Jess Allan from The University of Gloucestershire with 44ex50. In the team results it was Bloxham’s A team that just beat RAU and Bredon School’s A team.
