Engraving  

Detail: Deluxe Classic ‘Acanthus leaf’ scroll engraving with a stippled background.
This pattern is based very closely on the Arts & Crafts movement designs made famous by William Morris. It is essentially a decorative leaf design intertwined with scroll work to give a bold and varied pattern. The stippled background takes more hours than the common line cut-away finish but provides far greater contrast between dark & light.
