The guns were originally ordered by David Tredinnick as a 21st Birthday present from his parents. The guns have been lovingly cared for with regular servicing. Having studied at Eton, Mr Tredinnick served in the British Army with the Grenadier Guards. After leaving the Army Mr Tredinnick turned to politics, becoming a Member of the British Parliament in 1987 and holding his seat until 2019. The guns ovals are engraved with his family crest, and Latin inscription that translates to “In one thing excel”.
